C.K. Rider was born in Kent, England, before journeying across the world to Australia at the age of ten. Now settled in an Australian country town east of Toowoomba, Queensland, she balances life as a devoted mum to two teenagers and two loyal dogs with her lifelong passion for storytelling.

A voracious reader and creative spirit, she has always found solace in words with her favourite genres being fantasy and romance. In her quiet moments, she can be found in the garden, at her crafting table, or curled up with a book and a strong coffee.

When she isn’t weaving stories, she can be found savouring the crisp beauty of autumn, enjoying the company of her family, or indulging in her favourite ritual: a perfectly made margarita at the end of a long day.
